We designed this book to document a semester-long collaboration between RISD and Cessna that ended in an exhibition. Students explored flight using a wind tunnel, trampolines and finally piloting a private jet. They translated their discoveries into a large scale pavilion that attempted to recreate the magic of flight on the ground. We organized the book to reveal the creative process (including its struggles) behind the project and used flight as a metaphor for the stages of creativity. We used string binding to echo the materials used in the pavilion.
