Designing a live game show-style event to support architecture education programs for kids.

Guess-A-Sketch is a yearly event hosted by AIA New York | Center for Architecture to raise funds for their free K–12 offerings. The cocktail reception and architecture-themed Pictionary-style game is an opportunity for local architects and firms to network and compete against each other while supporting the organization’s mission to promote public understanding and appreciation of architecture and design.

Brand elements including logos, graphics, and color palette

The 2023 identity design for the adults-only event needed to strike a balance between sophistication and playfulness. The logo and graphics system drew inspiration from  sporting events and retro board games, using a cool color palette combined with an exaggerated serif typeface and mix-matched glyphs.

Signs and slides used during the event

The 2023 event raised over $89,000 to support the Center for Architecture’s mission of providing design education programs for children, families, and adults.
